MICROBE

The MICROBE is a manual scanner equipped with an encoder and magnetic wheels. It is designed to move probes around ferromagnetic pipes. Its small and ergonomic design makes it the perfect tool to encode the position of a probe. The Microbe is fully configurable for use with both phased array and conventional ultrasound, with one or multiple probes.

Features:

Modular design: Using standard components, the Microbe can be quickly adapted to different configuration needs. The Microbe scanner is fully compatible with ROTIX and STIX scanners. Molded umbilical: The Microbe is available with a robust umbilical including power supply, encoder cable, 4 coaxial cables, and water feed molded into a polyurethane sheath. Connectors can be customized to ensure compatibility with various devices and probes. Braking system: A brake is provided to lock the scanner in the desired position. Wheels: Magnetic wheels are coated with urethane to reduce the impact of foreign debris that could prevent the scanner from moving. To further increase system flexibility, the wheels are stackable to enhance magnetic attraction if needed. Removable handle: The Microbe features a tool-free removable cover, allowing easy access to protected connections for cable management. Encoding: The encoder is integrated into the Microbe body. It is compatible with all standard equipment. Sealing: The Microbe is sealed with O-rings to protect it from external contaminants.
