These are single element longitudinal waves translators for direct contact control, with a flexible membrane to allow them an easier movement over rough surfaces. Some references, the membrane can be replaced by a delay line. This allows to adapt the form of for example delay lines or low-angle prisms to control axle for example and also high temperature delay lines.
Benefits:
- When the translator is used alone (without any protection options), the epoxy face contact ensures appropriate acoustic impedance control of plastics, many composites, and other low acoustic impedance materials.
- Threaded housings for easy attachment of the membrane holding ring.
Applications:
- Detection of defects under normal incidence.
- Control plates, billets, bars, forgings.
- Search imperfections in the metal sheets, weld inspection, ...
- Control axles and shafts (long play) by using the end of the prisms.
- High temperature control using the appropriate delay lines
Europeans housings
- Enclosures with ergonomic profile sleeves facilitate handling, even with gloves.
- LEMO LEMO connector 1 or 00 in radial or axial position.
- Translators and protections (membranes) are sold separately.
- Cables for use with these LEMO1 translators / LEMO1, reference or LEMO1 1613.2 / 1614.2 00 LEMO reference.

International housings
These translators have a front face particularly utilie resin for adapting membranes protection or delay lines. They can also be used directly in contact with relatively low acoustic impedance materials such as composites or plastics. International housings provide frequency / diameter ratios according to international standards.
