The DY-2 range of automated tensile adhesion testers combines ease of use with the unique ability to record each of the test parameters required by the new standards. Three versions are available, depending on maximum tensile force.
Application range
Three versions of the DY-2 are available, distinguished by their maximum tensile strength. They cover the full range of adhesion applications (example for ∅ 50 mm test pads):
Model |
Working range |
Maximum pulling speed |
Pulling force |
Test pellets ∅ 50mm |
DY-206 |
0.6 - 6 kN |
0.3 - 3.1 MPa |
4.65 mm/min 0.183 inch/min |
135 - 1349 lbf |
44 - 443 psi |
DY-216 |
1.6 - 16 kN |
0.81 - 8.1 MPa |
360 - 3597 lbf |
118 - 1182 psi |
DY-225 |
2.5 - 25 kN |
1.3 - 12.7 MPa |
2.2 mm/min
0.086 inch/min |
562 - 5620 lbf |
185 - 1847 psi |
The DY-206 increases the accuracy of low-force applications such as measuring the bond strength of mortars and plasters. The DY-216 covers most applications. The DY-225 is dedicated to very high-force applications, such as the measurement of glass-fiber-reinforced polymers bonded to concrete structures, or the measurement of the bond strength of repair and coating materials.
Complete range of test tablets
Depending on the application and the material to be tested, standards specify a wide range of test pad sizes. Proceq supplies a complete range. The complete list can be consulted on the following page.
