ECHO 7

These ultrasonic thickness gauges have been developed on a new platform which makes them extremely versatile. They are designed above all for inspectors in workshops and quality departments, who need to measure the thickness of complex, hard-to-reach parts. ECHO 7s can be used for all applications where the opposite side of the material is impossible or difficult to reach. These devices are commonly used in foundries (cast iron, light alloys, copper alloys, etc.), for molded, injected or thermoformed plastic parts, for metal parts after stamping, for carbon fiber or glass fiber composite parts, for ceramic parts, and for checking spheroidal graphite content in GS cast irons. Precision and versatility

The ECHO 7 is a high-precision thickness gauge with display resolution down to the micron. It can be used with a wide range of contact, delay line or immersion translators. You can define your application(s) and save them in the device's memory, so that you can use the device on a daily basis as simply as possible, or entrust it to less skilled operators. Scalability The ECHO 7 has been designed to adapt to your immediate or future needs. You can upgrade the device by adding new functions (data memory, AScan ultrasound signal display, etc.) or simply take advantage of software updates and improvements. You can even upgrade to the ECHO 8 model, which enables you to cover corrosion research applications using another translator technology.

Ascan visualization

The most delicate measurements require visualization of the ultrasonic signal, as specified in standard NF EN 14127. The ECHO 7 provides this software option, allowing you to display the ultrasonic signal on the high-resolution screen to check that measurements are being carried out correctly. If this is not the case, you can adjust the necessary parameters (gain, DAC, measurement windows) to ensure correct measurement. The high-resolution color display enables you to pinpoint any anomalies, giving you the measurement reliability you need for the most demanding applications.

Ergonomic

The large, high-resolution screen offers several display types to suit operators' needs and preferences, while reducing fatigue. Whether you choose to display measurements in large characters or the signal on the screen, or configure the device for right- or left-handed use, the ECHO 7 adapts to your requirements to satisfy your comfort of use. A number of accessories, such as a shoulder strap, a case with a retractable stand and a magnetic stand, also enhance comfort and versatility.

Datalogger and DATA XL, DATAXL PRO software

We believe measurement management should be as simple as possible. That's why the ECHO 7's memory has been designed to accommodate your thickness measurements in simple file formats, or in more advanced formats for those who take a lot of measurements. Data processing is carried out via DATA XL software, which enables all measurement data to be read back and converted or exported to Microsoft Excel in CSV format. DATA XL software also lets you create file structures and send them to the ECHO 7 meter, perform file merges, save your custom settings and reload them or send them to other instruments, update your instrument software and retrieve screenshots.
