Transmission / separate reception transducers

Description

Translators transmission / reception separate consist of two piezo-electric elements inserted in the same housing and separated by an acoustic partition. One element transmits longitudinal waves; the other member receives the reflected waves in the material.

Benefits:

  • Improve the resolution as the input surface
    Eliminate duplication of delay line echoes in the case of high temperature applications
    Reduce the input noise on rough surfaces
    Allow pseudo-focusing effect

  • Measures residual thicknesses on corroded surfaces
