ACE: the new generation of ACFMT (Alternating Current Field Measurement Technology) devices

The ACE portable alternating current field measurement (ACFMT) device offers all the advanced features of ACFMT NDT inspection technology in a lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use package. With a selection of standard and custom probes developed in-house, ACE offers a versatile solution for a wide range of industrial applications, ensuring reliable and accurate inspection results every time.

Lightweight and durable:

Designed to be portable without compromising on robustness, ACE is the ideal solution for single-operator on-site inspections.

ACFMT technology:

Based on the principle of eddy currents, the ACE induces low, uniform currents on the surface of the material being tested. It measures variations in these currents to detect and characterize surface defects, accurately measuring their length and depth.

Comprehensive reporting software:

ACE-R allows users to generate detailed inspection reports, including defect size and location as well as test data. All analysis data is stored for audit tracking, and the software supports in-depth investigations and custom report generation.

Versatile and innovative ACFMT probes

The ACE system includes a wide range of standard and custom ACFMT probes designed for smooth and repeatable inspections. Each probe is equipped with integrated “Start/Pause,” “Stop,” and “Change Direction” buttons, ideal for single-person operation. Key probe options include: Standard welding probes: Ideal for inspecting welds from above, these probes are equipped with large drive coils, ideal for measuring deep defects. They are also suitable for general component inspection wherever access permits. Pencil probes: For areas where the geometry of larger weld probes is not suitable, pencil probes are available with a straight or right-angle nose. They are ideal for accessing narrow or difficult inspection areas and are equipped with smaller drive coils for improved performance, particularly around plate edges. Whether you need to inspect ferritic or austenitic welds, the ACE system supports 5 kHz probes for ferritic welds and 50 kHz probes for austenitic welds, ensuring accurate results across a wide range of materials.

Advanced software for smooth inspections

ACE inspection software has been optimized to work in tandem with the hardware, making inspections simpler, faster, and more efficient: Real-time feedback: The probes provide real-time scanning status and configuration details, allowing you to track your inspection every step of the way. Audit tracking and data storage: All scan data is stored for comprehensive audit tracking, ensuring that every inspection is carefully documented and easily accessible for future review. Customized reports: The included desktop software allows for in-depth analysis of scan data and the creation of customized, customer-specific reports with defect size and location, as well as detailed inspection data.
