The F2 is a multi-element ultrasound device designed for quality control of fine assemblies such as resistance spot welded assemblies or bonded assemblies. This portable device uses multi-element matrix probe technology. This enables 2D representation of assemblies in C-scan imaging and measurement of the diameter of welded cores. This image representation, combined with the inspection plan creation software, offers the user simplified use of ultrasound. The device's various adjustment options allow the operator to adjust the sensitivity of the inspection to the configuration of the assembly while guiding them through the order of welds to be inspected. The algorithm's adjustment options will improve the correlation between non-destructive and destructive measurements by ensuring 100% traceability of the recorded data.
