PRISMA is a simple, versatile and scalable ultrasonic flaw detection device. It allows you to perform conventional ultrasound, multi-element and TOFD as and when you need it, by activating the corresponding software options. Above all, it is a high-performance US station, thanks to its powerful transmitter, wide bandwidth and numerous filters. What's more, it boasts excellent imaging capabilities, even in conventional US mode. And it's easy to use, with the usual menu-driven or wizard-driven operation. With its robust design, it combines simplicity and performance to meet all your current and future requirements. You can upgrade to multi-element or TOFD techniques. As the menus and wizards used are the same as for conventional US, you'll find it much easier to get to grips with these new technologies.
As simple as you want, as powerful as you need
- UT, TOFD and PA inspections
- Setup in 30 seconds
- Instant changeover from UT to PA
- Configuration and calibration wizards
- Update anytime, anywhere!
- Full logging and traceability
- Minimized training: common user interface
- Customized view display
- Innovative results presentation
- Location aid views
TOFD
The Prisma's imaging capabilities and the quality of its electronics enable it to carry out TOFD inspections. The necessary TOFD-specific tools have been integrated:
- Hyperbolic cursors
- PCS calculation
- Lateral wave rectification and/or suppression
- Side wave / background echo cursor
- 2 UT channels for offset scans
- 200 MHz digitization and fast processor
- Large screen for easy analysis
As powerful as an imaging device
Multi-element technology makes it possible to cover a larger inspection volume, such as checking a weld with a single probe without moving back and forth along the bead. Or in corrosion detection, visualize a 50mm-wide strip very quickly.
This technology makes it easier to identify defects and provides faster inspection and traceability. By activating the multi-element options, you'll have all the capabilities of the conventional UT station, plus the efficiency of phased-array imaging.
As the user interface between the conventional US station and the multi-element station is the same, switching from one to the other is simple. What's more, as you develop your use of this new technology, you'll be able to upgrade your multi-element workstation to a complete high-end workstation, with full traceability of all your data. This means you can upgrade your workstation as you go along, for a limited budget spread over time. During use, you can switch from UT to PA mode at the touch of a button.
UT Studio software
This software, supplied with PRISMA, offers numerous post-processing possibilities. It's not just a tool for creating reports, it also lets you generate more views, move gates, adjust the color palette, add gates or measurement cursors, open several inspections simultaneously to compare them, etc.
The software uses the same logic and menus as PRISMA. So it's very easy to use. A free viewer is also available.
