The D280 is an elongated porosity detector designed to make high-voltage DC pulse porosity detection easier, safer and more reliable.
The device uses state-of-the-art electronics, enabling the user to inspect coatings without connecting the ground cable to the substrate - ideal for monitoring large surfaces and pipelines.
The D280 uses pulsed high-voltage DC technology to detect defects in coatings - whether wet, dirty or slightly conductive. Dual safety switches, warning lights, on-screen voltage symbols and spark protection ribs set the D280 as the benchmark for high-voltage measurement safety.
The D280 porosity detector is available in 2 models: Standard and Top. Only the TOP porosity detector features a voltage calculator. Each model can be supplied as a stand-alone unit or as a kit including a large wheeled case (Top model only) and a 250mm extension rod.
The voltage range of D280 porosity detectors is 0.5kV to 35kV, adjustable in steps of 10V up to 1kV and 100V beyond.
Autonomy is 8 to 12 hours, depending on working voltage.
Accessories :
- Grounding mats are ideal for testing ungrounded tubes. The conductive rubber mat is wrapped around the coated tube, then connected to the grounding rod (foutni separately) and signal return cable.
- Batteries, chargers and grounding cables
- Extension rods (500 and 1000 mm can be butted together for measurement in remote areas)
- Accessory adapter (allows use of other brands of accessories)
- Brush, rake and circular probes for outdoor and indoor use
- Conductive rubber probes (for light contact
- Widths: 250, 500, 1000 and 1400 mm)
- Spring probes for tube exteriors
